Luminous mushroom

Green Pepe or Green Peppe (Mycena chlorophos) is famous in Ogasawara, but there are other mushrooms to be glowing.
You can immediately see Green Pepe or Green Peppe is glowing even from a distance, but as your eyes get used to the darkness, there are other small mushrooms that are very weak but glows faintly in the forest.
It’s a Suzumetake (Dictyopanus gloeocystidiatus) of the Tricholomataceae family.

小笠原では（夜光茸／愛称：グリーンペペ／本来の愛称はグリーンペッペ）が有名ですが、他にも発光するキノコがあるんです。
グリーンペペは遠くからでも光っているのが直ぐに分かりますが、暗闇に目が慣れてくると、森の中にはとても弱い光ですが他にも薄っすらと光っている小さなキノコがあります。
キシメジ科のスズメタケです。

Green Pepe or Green Peppe

Green pepe or Green Peppe

Green pepe or Green Peppe shines mysteriously in the forest at night on the Bonin Islands.

夏があまりにも良かった反動でしょうか。最近は天候が安定せずスコールや雨も多いのですが、気温もまだ高くグリーンペペ（夜光茸／本来の愛称はグリーンペッペ）にとっては良い条件なのでしょう。
夜の森にはグリーンペペが（夜光茸／本来の愛称はグリーンペッペ）妖しく神秘的に光っています。
