This past August was so beautiful and gorgeous.
Signs of autumn came quietly to the island after Typhoon Fengshen.
It’s still hot summer during the day, but morning and evening became nice and cool.
It’s a good season to hike the mountains and jungle.
Flower of “Munin-himetsubaki” which is the endemic species of the Bonin Islands usually have five petal, but I found one with six petal in the sunlight filtering through foliage.

最高な８月が終わり、台風１４号の後、島にも静かに秋の気配がやって来ました。
日中はまだまだ暑い夏ですが、朝夕は涼しい毎日です。
これからは山やジャングル歩きにもいい季節ですね。
固有種のムニンヒメツバキの花は五弁なのですが
木漏れ日の中に六弁の花を見つけました。
四葉のクローバーならぬ、六弁のムニンヒメツバキ・・・
これは何かいいことが起こる前兆になるのでしょうか。
