深海生物 Deep sea creature
A fisherman brought a rare creature to The Ogasawara Whale Watching Association . There were two of them stuck to the anal fin of the Flame snapper which caught at water depth 300m.
When I visit The Ogasawara Whale Watching Association , there's a very rare deep-sea creature a scientific name ”Aega antillensis” which is the same species of the Giant Isopod which is popular in the public!
This deep sea creature is moving actively in front of me to be able to rarely see even at the aquarium.
The deep sea is the world of the darkness that the sunlight does not reach and low water temperature and high-pressure.
I heard that The Giant Isopod will die immediately when the light hits. It's mysterious that ”Aega antillensis” is still living in the ground level environment, isn't it?
小笠原ホエールウィッチング協会 に、漁師さんが水深３００mで釣り上げたオナガダイの臀鰭にくっついていた珍しい生き物が届けられたとのことで見に行ってみると、巷で人気のダイオウグソクムシの仲間で激レアなメナガグソクムシが！
水族館でも稀にしか見れない深海の生き物が目の前で元気に動き回っています。
深海は光も届かない暗闇で水温も低い高圧の世界です。
ダイオウグソクムシは光が当たると直ぐに死んでしまうそうですが、メナガグソクムシは地上の環境でも生きているなんて不思議ですね。
