中秋の名月　The Harvest Moon

今夜は満月の中秋の名月です。
中秋の名月とは、旧暦（太陰太陽暦）8月15日の夜に見える月のことで、必ずしも満月にあたるとは限りません。
次に中秋の名月が満月にあたるのは7年後の2030年9月になります。
小笠原ではちょうど月が昇ってくるところに大きな雲がありましたが、雲の切れ間から美しい満月が姿を現しました。

It’s the full moon and the Harvest moon tonight.
The Harvest Moon is the moon that can be seen on the night of August 15th in the lunar calendar (lunisolar calendar), and is not necessarily a full moon.
The next full moon for the Harvest Moon will be in September 2030, seven years later.
In Ogasawara, there were large clouds just as the moon was rising, but a beautiful full moon appeared from between the clouds.
