母島 Haha-jima

父島から南へ50km。
定期船「ははじま丸」に乗って2時間で母島に到着です。
人口は約450人。
港の周りの集落を離れると、そこには静かでゆったりとした時間が流れる緑豊かな自然が溢れています。

太平洋にぽつんと浮かぶ亜熱帯の島。

島が近づくとトビウオを狙ってカツオドリが船の周りに集まってきます。
すぐ近くを飛ぶので、デッキにはカツオドリの影も映っています。

As the ship approaches the island, Brown Boobies gather around the ship to catch flying fish.
The shadow of the bird is reflected on the deck.



父島から2時間で到着です。
